Repair one element on ceramic hotplate not working

The ceramic cooktop has 4 burners. one of them made a 'pop' some time ago and ceased to work. i think it is a blown element, but as it is a sealed unit and has electricity connected, i figure i should leave it to a professional to repair.
unsure of the brand name of the cooktop (not at home at present). the non-functioning burner is front left. 2nd largest of the burners.
