bought the house and didn't realise there was a prob with one of the bedroom lights. Never has worked since we bought it.
had a handy man come to check it - says there is live wire in fitting and in switch - but not connected - eg. when switch turned off, light fitting still active.
told by handy man that we would need to either be prepared to replace ceiling or else have external wiring from switch to middle of ceiling installed.
would like to also install ceiling fan/light if possible
