Smoke alarm keeps going off

same problem as last time I used this service smoke alarm has been going off for the last 4 hours happens in extreme heat/cold have been told it is the battery but the cap will not budge seems to be screwed in or stuck when painted around. Want both smoke alarms replaced with 2 new one's asap as kids have gone to school on next to no sleep.Can someone call who can get here very soon and let me know how much it will cost? thankyou Julia
