USA BBQ with electric components not functioning correctly in Australia

Richard requested 2 quotes from Electricians in South Brisbane

We have a charcoal BBQ imported from USA with electrical components. There is a charcoal chamber that holds 4 baskest of charcoal (2 on top of eachother) and underneath the baskets are 2 x electric coils (identical to a stove top) and underneath the elements is a blower. Essentially the elements should glow for approx 10 mins heating the charcoal and the blower kicks in at the 4 min mark blowing the heat from the elements onto the charcoal for approx 6-7 minutes. After 10 mins the elements and blower auto switch off and th baskets containing the charcoal can then be position to cook.

The problem is the americans modified a 110 volt system to suit the Australian 240 volt but did not do a good job of it. The elements do not glow nearly as much as they ought to. They also trip the safty switch at the house mains.

Could someone pleasae assist in making this BBQ work correctly in Australia?

Regards
Richard
