Wire a 3 phase metal lathe

Need to diagnose why my lathe doesn't run. I have a 3 phase genset and a 3 phase colchester lathe. When I plug the genset into the lathe nothing happens the genset doesn't load up at all. The genset is a 6.5KVA blue diamond, the lathe is a 3.75 KW motor. I have never had this lathe running I think it's the lathe the genset is brand new. Need help please.
