Wired smoke alarm replacement

Hi This is my 3rd attempt at getting this particular smoke alarm replaced it has 9v battery but is also wired on both occasions I have had a quick response and we have assumed it needed a new battery however the battery has been changed twice in last couple of months so i'm assuming it has something to do with the wiring as the one downstairs hasn't given me any probs it's only ever the one upstairs (roof ceiling) so not sure if something eg mouse or bird etc has got on there and got to wire but it is beyond frustrating as it only ever goes off in the middle of the night and I have 3 young kids and also work until 11pm so we are all over being woken up every night can someone who has a gap today ring me to come out today and check it out I am home now-Thankyou
