Currently palings are nailed from my side. There is a 400mm retaining wall (tho it for several metres it goes up to 800mm high, and also it goes down to ground level)
Retaining wall is located about 100 to 150mm from palings.
So i would say it needs to be exposed post, with palings fixed from neighbours side.
