I’m after a low wire woven fence for the front of the property (I’ll take your advice but we only want it around 800mm or so with a rather large plinth - as the garden bed is a bit higher than the footpath). Fence 1 The front of the property is 10m across and there is a laneway to the side. The wire woven fence should go 3m down the laneway. We would also like a gate at one end of this fence. I would like a new fence post put in and a colourbond gate matching the materials used on the other side. This gate can have a padlock rather than a lock that is accessible both sides. The quote should include removal of all old fencing and use of a colour similar to the grey colouring that is used on the house roof and trim. What I was hoping to do was buy a re – chargeable power pack connected to a small solar panel and simply plug the motor cable in to that (storing the pack near the gate motor). Does a licenced electrician need to install? I would think not as it seems to me that all that is happening is an appliance being plugged in for power?
