Paul requested 3 quotes from Floorers in Cannon Hill
Tasmanian Oak hardwood.
Property 2.5 years old.
Top floor of 2 levels, plasterboard ceiling on ground floor.
Approx. 110sqm of area. Unsure if platform floor or not.
Very noisy to walk on across whole floor but in particular high use areas. eg Kitchen, living.
Movement between boards particularly in middle of joists and at end joins.
Floor boards standard size and laid directly on LVL joists.
Boards have been top nailed down (as were previously secret nailed, no glue), sanded and poly coated.
Noise returned after a period of time.
Noise almost disappeared in huge wet weather event recently in Brisbane.(for about 2 days).
