The carpet has been taken up on our stairs to the 2nd level + the L shaped hallway. Plan is to have laminate installed on the stairs & hallway. The stairs are ok to proceed but there are 2 high spots in each of the L hallway sections of the existing yellow tongue particle board flooring. The installers came out for a look at the floor on Saturday with their straightedge & recommended that we get the floor levelled before they put the laminate down in the hallway. The high spot in one section is about 15mm higher than the floor at the walls.
