Just realised this business is listed as cleaners which may explain a bit. I got a call really quickly from Nick who seemed lovely and quoted me $80 for the rotary hoe job that should have taken a max of about an hour if that. A few days later I called and locked him in. The day came for Nick to turn up but instead 2 other gentleman came. They didn't seem to have a rotary hoe with them which I was confused about. They looked at the area and looked at me and said they would do it with hand picks and it would take 2 men, 2 days at $35 per hour. They told me they didn't understand what rotary hoeing was. I said no thanks and asked them to leave. The seemed hesitant to leave and then about 5 minutes later I got a text offering to do it that day and only take 1 day instead of 2 and $350 all up. I said no. Then another 5 mins passed and they said they could do it that day and for $265 but only because they had nothing else to do that day (almost making me feel like I needed to give them work). It was making me very uncomfortable so I said definitely no and that I wanted what I asked for which was rotary hoeing. I was shocked at their original quote going from $80 to almost $1000 and I am not normally one to write bad reviews but all I could think of was that they might target others who don't feel they can say no.
