Penny requested 3 quotes from Handymen in St Kilda East
I have an attic ladder in my investment property in StKilda East and the latch that secures the ladder to the door that folds out from the roof is broken on it. I dont know who installed the ladder originally but wondered how I can go about getting this repaired? Ive attached some photos here so you can see the latch type. Essentially, when I put the rod into the hole in the latch, I'm meant to be able to to twist it and the bit of metal that sticks out is meant to twist around and sit on top of another bit of metal so that it's secured. For some reason the piece of metal that sticks out that is meant to twist around has broken. Even if repairing the latch that is there is not an option, maybe a completely new solution is possible. The property is currently vacant but I have a tenant moving in next Tuesday, so really need some help! Please let me know if you can help. Many thanks, Penny
