Build concretye steps in split level house

I have a new house that has just been built. it is split level and is on a concrete slab. the have put 4 wooden steps in for the split level and we have had them tiled but because the steps are wood the grout has cracked. we are looking to get the wooden steps taken out and having brick or concrete steps put in.
