Concrete steps to front door of house has dropped a couple of inches

There are about 5 concrete steps leading up to the front door of the house. On the side of the steps has brickwork which had dropped a couple of inches leaving a large gap between the concrete and bricks. This has also caused the concrete balustrades at the top and down the steps to also give way creating a large gap. This may have been causes by the dry conditions of the soil over a period of time.
