To make it harder for rodents to gain entrance I would like all gaps 6mm or bigger blocked off.
I have enclosed photos of where these gaps are to my knowledge. I believe they can also get in through the guttering on my roof. Not sure what can be done about that.
1 Reduce gap under garage door and sides of garage door.
2 You will see from photos cracks in brickwork they I believe can be plastered up
3 Reduce gap under door (and any other part of the door) to get under the house
4 Reduce gap under screen door for when the front door is open to cool the place down
5 A grill over the external house vents (see pics) with 5mm mesh to keep out rodents (the grill is necessary to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning so would need to make sure it still functions as well)
I've also read online it may be necessary for one person to stand in the residence at night and shine a torch around to find any gaps, If light comes through then a rodent can get through.

Came to my residence and plugged gaps as requested to "rodent proof" my home as much as practical/reasonably possible. Discovered additional problem areas and asked if I would like those attended to as well. Promptly responded to any questions and concerns I had. Very reasonably priced. Their work included plugging gaps between roof tiles and gutter, plugging gaps in brickwork, installing a special rodent/weathershield at the bottom of the door that has a spring mechanism to adjust for movement in the house, using special filters to prevent rodents getting into ventilation vents, blocking gaps in the trap door that leads under the house, plugging gaps between living room floor and wall. Also learnt about rodent proofing products I had not previously known existed. They were very honest as I accidentally paid more than I was supposed but gave the money back. Also provided honest advice that rodent proofing the garage was not necessary as I previously thought to save me money. The only negative is some of the wood used to seal gaps in the living room was not as closely matched to the rest of the wood as I would have liked. Additional coats of varnish were used to try to get it closer but still quite a long way off. But I'm sure I could spend more to remedy this if I wanted to. Much of the work was done underneath my house so impossible to inspect everything. Overall I am pleased and would recommend to others.
