Ducted heating requires repair to insulation around piping

It appears a animal (ie possum) has got into the roof of our new house and ripped apart the outer insulation that goes around the plastic tubing/piping in the ducted heating/central heating. At this stage we just require the insulation to be either repaired or replaced - whichever is cheaper/more efficient.
