Electric slab heating not working in two zones. need advice re repairs

we had an electric slab heating system installed at our property in 2000. have not experienced problems until approximately 18 months ago when two zones went out. we have no heat at all to these rooms. an electrician has tested thermestats and they are working correctly. we suspect the problem may be a connection somewhere within the slab.
