We have a problem with our gas ducted heating. Most of the time the heat won't come on at all, although the pilot light is lit, the electrical supply is turned on and the thermostat is up.... We have a problem with our gas ducted heating. Most of the time the heat won't come on at all, although the pilot light is lit, the electrical supply is turned on and the thermostat is up. (Thermostat is manual Honeywell. Pilot is manually lit with a match.) Sometimes the heater will go on, but when the thermostat is turned off, the fan runs (cold air) and then someone needs to run outside to turn it off. Have tried resetting by turning power on and off. The heater was serviced in June this year. Vents are all open, inflow air vent has been vaccumed. A few weeks ago the Brivis guy came out again and tested the gas and the thermostat and couldn't find anything wrong and suggested we call an electrician. Called an electrician who said all he could do was check whether we have a power supply and it seems we have and suggested I call a ducted heating specialist. Which I thought Brivis, being the manufacturer was! My mother-in-law is arriving from Singapore on Friday and she won't cope with the cold.

My Brivis Buffalo 85 all of sudden have no hot air blowed. The pilot seems ok , i think the main problem is in the gas valve , which caused the burner failed to start because of no gas supplied. I have a STADT P20 (in ceiling) gas space heater that has the following fault: Flame ignition works main burners operate (but tell-tale LED on control board always remains off) . As soon as... I have a STADT P20 (in ceiling) gas space heater that has the following fault: Flame ignition works main burners operate (but tell-tale LED on control board always remains off) . As soon as the main burner is ON , the circulation fan starts (very little time delay, of the order of 3 seconds). With other heaters I know there is a time gap of several minutes before the circulation fan operates. As soon as the fan starts the main burner goes to OFF . Fan continues to operate for another minute or so and then shuts down. The above process is automatically repeated around 3 times. And then everything stops. To go through the above process again, the Unit requires a manual Reset. It could be a flame detector fault, or perhaps too little time gap between main burner operating and circulation fan operating.
