We bought a house which has a gas log fire heater which looks to be installed in the late 80's early 90's. We've been told it works but we haven't tried it as it may need full service and carbon... We are recieving an error message that the room temperature is higher than the requested temperature. We have tried to set the heating to 30 degrees to test but machine cuts out before then. The... The machine starts up, starts the pilot light but then shutsdown and does a restart and the same thing happens a few minutes later. The green light flashes 4 times on the electrical board saying that the room temperature is higher than thermostat. Every thing else appears to be working on the system.

The fan speed on my mss10 unit cannot be changed from low, even though the remote says its increasing speed. Also the motorised flap at the bottom front of the machine does not operate properly.
