The gas turns off when the heater is turned on. Once the pilot light is on again and the heater is turned on the gas turns off after a couple of seconds The gas turns off when the heater is turned on. This problem has been occurring periodically, but has now just blanked out. It's hard wired to the unit on the roof.. I have tried the reset on the unit, no go. I have also ran a power cord from... I have a 2 storey house that has ducted heating through the roof. At the moment heating/cooling only comes from the downstairs ducts even when the upstairs ducts ar switched on. I suspect the zone... I suspect the zone control motor in the ceiling is either jammed or has failed (this has happened before). Repair most likely requires either a replacment zone control motor or motor and flap control assembly. (Sory not sure of brand). Ceiling is easy to get into and lit...fairly easy to get around.
