Are the providers good quality?

Not every business can join Service Central

To be a registered Service Central business, the company needs to meet the standards of 'Verified'. Unlike other directories or classified advertising, our high standards ensure that when you choose a business, you know what you're getting.

What do we look for?

  • Registered - the business must have a valid Australian Business Number.
  • Qualified - Qualification requirements will vary for each business, and involves anything from licences to experience. For licensed trades, Service Central will require a current licence card or confirmation letter. Some trades don't need licences, but do need a qualification - usually a certificate.
  • Insured - Each Service Central business must have an appropriate level of public liability insurance. We request a certificate of currency for a minimum of $5 000 000 public liability cover, regardless of what type of business it is.

Our businesses are also monitored for quality standards once they have been a registered business for a while. Your feedback and star ratings give us an indication of how a business is performing, and if we find that a business has persistent negative feedback we will help the business to improve or reconsider their membership with Service Central.
