We want a timber decking contructed at the back of our home - we recently finished extensions. it will be quite a large area and we have decided we wannt it done in merbau. it is all one level... We want a timber decking contructed at the back of our home - we recently finished extensions. it will be quite a large area and we have decided we wannt it done in merbau. it is all one level however it will need to be raised off the ground in order to be flush with the house. we have had french doors installed and want to be able to walk straight out onto the deck. on each side there will need to be a couple of steps down so that we can access both the carport and also the hot water service on the other side. we need an opinion from the tradesman on whether we need a third set of steps , we can explain this later. also the deck will not be a regular shape the tradesman will understand what we mean when he sees the backyard. there could be a possibility that some slight excavation might be necessary. there are also a couple of other details we want for the deck but i find it easier to show a picture than describe here. we want the deck done in the next couple of months and need to get quotes before we can go back to our bank with the amount we need to borrow. if we could get the quotes within the next couple of weeks i envisage that we may be able to start by mid sept at latest.
