We believe that the large canopy lemon scented gum in our front yard has a split developing in the centre fork. as such we think the tree is now dangerous and will probably need removal, however we... We believe that the large canopy lemon scented gum in our front yard has a split developing in the centre fork. as such we think the tree is now dangerous and will probably need removal, however we need to have this confirmed by a tree specialist in order to satisfy council requirements. we live in maroondah city council under a native vegetation overlay area, and the council requires that we have a quote where the specialist specifically uses the word "dangerous" on the quote for us to be allowed to remove it. as well as the gum there are 3 smaller camellia trees and 1 sickly bottlebrush that we would like a quote on removing at the same time as the gum. this would be quotes for tree and stump removal. all trees are located in the front yard with easy access for vehicles. issues to note are that the power line for the property comes within 2metres of the tree trunk and therefore under some of the canopy. of immediate concern is a large branch that is splitting that hangs over the driveway and powerline. this will need removal asap.
