My hair straightener is a ghd and is having problems with its power supply. a few months ago the light and power flicked on and off depending on the position of the cable. this was repaired by cutting off the end of the cable and replacing the plug. the same thing is happening now, but it seems to be a problem further up the cable or in the unit itself. it now "hisses" and makes a burning smell when it is turned on. i can deliver the item to a workshop or tradseman for repair.
