house is about 10 yrs old. the ceiling in the garage has collapsed, apparently it was installed using inadequate fittings. the eaves are also collapsing. i just need a builder who can do general... house is about 10 yrs old. the ceiling in the garage has collapsed, apparently it was installed using inadequate fittings. the eaves are also collapsing. i just need a builder who can do general repairs including; replacing facia on front of house, put ceiling back up (not completely collapsed, yet!), fixed eaves, re-attach plaster board to cornices (inside). this will not be an insurance job as they say it was the original builders fault. it is my understanding that the original builder is no longer in business. i have not given an indication of how much money we're prepared to pay, as i have no idea. we have had at least 2 people come out to look at the job, but no one will get back to us. the situation is now getting desperate, as i am afraid the ceiling will collapse on someone.
