I have no skill at gardening, and I have a small courtyard garden which I really want to redo, especially since it got completely out of control while I was away recently and is now totally overgrown. I want to keep the ferns that are already there but replace the other plants with drought resistant natives etc and have it set up so it's easy to maintain. Eventually I plan to have a cat enclosure built out there around the plants, so the plants would have to be non-toxic to pets.
