Landscaping of Backyard and Frontyard

We have a basic landscape in the frontyard but weeds started to come out hence would require the weeds problem to be fixed and give a better look and feel (with possible new plants) to the frontyard. We also want the nature strip to be covered (which is currently not) with some pebbles/something similar.
Regarding the backyard, Its rectangular (approx. 20-25sqs) and plain now. We have little weeds, which needs to be removed. We prefer greenaries, so prefer low watering plants, tall plants such as Bamboos to block western sun in the evenings. We also would like to have some lawn and possibly some timber decking/tiling with covered roof.
