New external fence, and some landscaping needed on a very slopey block

The current fence is falling down, but as the block is on a very steep slope i think it will need a retainer wall too. I am thinking of a horizontal plank wood fence, in dark wood. I was also hoping to level the garden out while the fence was down, possibly putting a pathway in. I need someone to look at it and see what is possible. NB the budget very much depends on what i decide to do - less if its just a fence!
