We have been renovating our house and in the process we have used access through our neighbours, the DHSS's, land (with their permission). The job is nearly completed and we need to reinstate their landscape.This consists of replacing about 30m of timber edging between a lawn and a garden bed. This looks like 150mm x 25mm timber fixed with short lengths of star pickets. We will need to repair the lawn and I guess this would be 10sqm of lawn turf. Finally we need to repair the garden bed. This will involve breaking up the trampled ground a bit, adding some kind of soil improver (manure, good soil, ?...) and planting about 22 rhododendrons that would survive of the shady side of a wall. We would also replace about 10 small plants that were in the garden bed prior to construction and which we repotted and maintained during construction. Finally we will need to mulch the garden bed - an area of about 25sq metres.
