Very ordinary! Franceis Fleifel (HJC Painting) came to the the job. I should have cancelled the job on day 2 but against my better judgement I let him finish the work. I had more runs on the walls and woodwork than a cricket match as well as poorly prepared surfaces, paint drips everywhere and poor cutting of wall and cornice surfaces. I prepared a list of faults (4 typed pages) and sent this to Franceis declining to pay the balance of the account on the grounds that I will need to rectify the myself as, I would do a better job. Ultimately, I decided to let Franceis come back and fix up the mess he thought was a good job. Meanwhile, I sent and email to Sam Samann (Hollistic Facility Services enclosing my email to Franceis and also left 2 messages with reception for the job supervisor to contact me. Neither Sam nor the job supervisor contacted me. Last Friday 26 Sept '08 Franceis came back to fix up the various flaws. Saturday on his arrival he had to start fixing up the flaws from the previous days which ended up in more flaws. In the end my wife asked me to pay him the balance owing and we would fix up the poor workmanship ourselves. I did settled the balance of the account to please her, as my sentiment was, sue me for the balance. Overall, very poor workmanship and even poorer customer service when Holistic is not interested in discussing with you the quality of work of their sub-contractor.
