We have a double fronted victorian that needs the space between the top of the bullnose and the eaves of the roof sanded and painted. We have the paint but have no way to reach the area and no time to do it. House is going on the market in a few weeks and need done asap.

Plush Painters and Decorators called me to get specifics of the job and give approx quote on what he thinks the job may come to. I understood that it was an approx quote and could possibly end up being more and I advised the contractor that I would speak to the other people involved and get back to him the next day to advise if we wished to go ahead. I sent a message the contractor the following day to advise we have decided not to go ahead with the job and thanked him for the call and his honesty with the quote. He responded by telling me to call service central to cancel the job as he would be charged and that he understood why the other smarter painters didn't waste their time with us. Not an acceptable response as I thought a qupote was just that, a quote. There is no reason why we have to choose any of the contractors that respond to our job posting. I don't recommend this company at all.
