  We are buying a new house which we’d like repainted before we move in. Given the timing this will need to be done starting Wed 24/10 and completed as quickly as possible.

We want the walls in 5 bedrooms repainted, plus the garage too.

I we won’t have access to the house until the settlement date, and at this stage I only have rough measurements for the house to go off. I’m not sure what the ceiling height is, Is 2.4 a standard height? Given this all measurements are in linear meters. I will be able to properly measure up during the final inspection on the 13th, but for the purposes of the quote let’s assume 2.4m.

Rooms:

Bed 1: 4.13 x 3.59 = 15.44 (3 doors, one window, light pink)
Bed 2: 2.94 x 3.02 = 11.92 (1 door, one window, orange)
Bed 3: 3.29 x 2.70 = 11.98 (1 door, one window, dark pink)
Bed 4: 3.28 x 3.44 = 13.44 (1 door, one window, green)
Bed 5: 2.75 x 3.07 = 11.64 (3 doors, one sliding, light pink, non-rectangular)

Total = 64.42 linear meters = 154.6 sq m

The bedrooms have an existing ‘suade’ type paint finish, which I guess will need to be sanded prior to painting.


Garage: 7.21 x ~8m = 30.42 m = 73 sq m (garage door, 2 other doors)

The garage is raw plasterboard, so will need surface priming as needed.

Could you please indicate your availability, and give us a quote both with paint supplied, and work only.
We’d like a good quality washable wall paint. If you tell us the brand of paint we’ll pick out the colour, but it will be a neutral with a slight warm tint
For the labour, if the measurements are substantially out (say > 10%) then I’m happy to scale the cost up.
We’d also want to keep any surplus paint, or at least the brand and formula.
