I am on 2 acres with lots of gum trees and pine trees, so there are at least 15 brush-tailed possums in permanent residence outside. Recently their population has exploded, judging by their noisy nocturnal territorial disputes, and somehow one family has gnawed an access hole into my ceiling - though I am baffled as to where this is. A council-provided trap has caught a cat and numerous cockatoos, but no possums. Obviously what is needed is to locate their entry point, remove them and seal it against further invasion. NB: Heathcote Junction is 30 mins from Epping - not to be confused with Heathcote.
