We believe we have a possum in our roof and need it removed please!

We have what we believe to be a possum (or possums) in our roof, scratching and running around a fair bit every night/early morning.
I think i've found the point of entry but don't wish to obstruct it as i think whatever it is may still be in the roof.
There is a manhole but i haven't been up to look in the cieling as yet.
I'd like the possum(s) removed please and also blocking of the likely point of entry - roof top is easily accessible.
