Remove ceiling "feature" and repair plasterboard

Rebecca requested 2 quotes from Plasterers in Brunswick West

Help! I have an unsightly ceiling feature that I need removed. It seems to be a hollow plywood & MDF box (very irregular shape), probably fixed to the ceiling on a wooden frame. It's approx 3.3m long x 1.5m wide.

The same shape appears to have been cut out of the underlying plasterboard, so the thing actually juts into the ceiling cavity.

There are 5 downlights located within this structure.

I need it removed, and new plasterboard installed to patch the gap ready for painting.

I hope that all makes sense. You'll probably need to come and look at it so you can properly quote.

Only experienced plasterers please.
