Sound proofing

I read all the great comments left on Service Central prior to selecting SP Plaster works to complete my job. While Om was personable his or rather his apprentice Sean's work was not up to par. Om told me when I met him to discuss the job that it would take 2 days to complete in actuality it took 8 days to complete multiply trips back and forth to resolve the issues. As part of the works I expected that the skirting board would be replaced exactly as it looked prior to the works. Unbelievably the original skirting board was replaced only this time it was half an inch higher than the other abutting skirting boards, I only wish I could post the photo's. Om admitted this work was sub standard and resolved this accordingly. I texted Om prior to the work commencing that there was a power point that needed to be relocated. I mentioned this to him in person prior to the work and this didn't seem to worry him. When I relocated back into the room and tried to use the power point it literally fell off the wall. Further investigation showed that the original power point bracket in the wall was plastered over before work commenced rendering it unmovable and unusable. Instead the power point was connected to the wall by using 2 types of glue and 1 screw that was screwed directly into the plaster, no bracket was used to hold it firmly in place. Again, I only wish I could post the photo's. My partner rang to complain saying that we both understood our own work positions and that we had a certain level of professionalism and quality of work. He said he would rectify, which made me think he also thought the work was sub standard. Instead I spent around $40 at the local hardware store and fixed it myself. Even the Mitre10 sales man couldn't believe his eyes when I showed him the photos.
