Can't get gas stove in caravan to light

I have recently aquired a new/used campervan but I am unable to get the gas stove to light. While there is gas in the cylinders it doesn't appear to be flowing to the stove. All obvious flow taps have been turned on and the switch on the stove produces a spark but the flame does not ignite.
