The work was done at the time agreed and to a good standard. However, the invoice was posted separately and was not itemised by parts and labour. Upon querying the breakdown, I discovered that an extra charge had been added for the apprentice and that the time spent offsite buying parts had also been charged. At my insistence, the cost of the apprentice was waived. Given the office knew the component costs of the invoice, I am forced to conclude that not including them on the invoice is a deliberate attempt to hide the additional charges.
