I have 2 Caroma toilets in my apartment, which both have flushing mechanisms that are on the way out.
One is worse than the other and frequently makes a loud hissing sound.
They are modern Caroma toilets and the flushing mechanism has a label on it that says "413298 Type 5". I'm assuming that's the model number.
Several other apartments in the building have the same issue, so I'm assuming this is a common problem with these toilets.
