We have a heat-n-glo gas log fire and recently it has started to turn itself off. You turn the switch off and then back on and usually the fire starts again. More recently this process fails such that you need to turn the switch on and off several times before the fire will reignite.
The pilot is on so I think that the unit requires some sort of service. It has been in the house for 3+ years now.
