Leaking fresh water connection into toilet cistern.

Water dripping from cylindrical tap that allows water to the cistern. Have tried to undo connection but it's too tight and has been suggested to apply heat to the join of copper pipe to loosen. It's been a while but there may have also been a leak from where the flex metal water tube is connected to the bottom of the cistern.
Not urgent, spare toilet. Rather cheaper quote than an immediate repair timeframe. There is no sewerage involved, it's a modern toilet and ground floor.
