Re-secure/tighten/replace a kitchen tap to sink (mixer)

Our kitchen sink tap has come loose and needs to be tightened. We have dual sinks and it now swivels the whole tap mixer mount when you attempt to just rotate the faucet left to right (from one sink to another).

It would be a simple case of just tightening the nut under the sink, however, due to the extremely restricted space under the sink and proximity of the hot/cold water pipes to the nut, it is near impossible to get any tools in there with enough room to use them.

It is possible this tap/mixer was mounted to the sink before it was installed in the bench. It seems the remaining options are some special tool that we do not have that works in the limited space, removing the sink from the bench and remounting -- or replacing the mixer tap entirely with something that can be securely mounted in the space.
