I suffered a roof leak following the heavy rains we had in March.
Our insurance company engaged a builder who has provided the following rectification requirements:
"To rectify the issue I have recommended the re location of the spitter to the
western wall reducing the concentration of water flow to the subject area where
the flashing and solar pipework is positioned.
and
Seal the internal edges of the lead flashing with a polyurethane UV resistant
sealant to prevent water penetration under heavy/windy conditions."
The work has to be carried out within the next 14 days and we have been advised how much we should expect the work to cost.
