- remove existing gas fire (non functioning - used to run off bottled gas)
- remove existing chimney flue and secure - currently flue bangs whenever there is the slightest wind
- prepare fireplace for new electric fire - the fireplace is a raised mdf/gyproc box with limestone top. i would assume that you would only need to cut a bigger hole in the front of the fireplace to accommodate the new fire.
