We have a 4 yr old Vulcan electronic gas wall furnace. After being turned on, it heats up for a few minutes then switches off continuously, even the electronic screen goes blank. The external housing of unit gets very hot (unusually) prior to shut down. Appears to be a safety shut down of some sort. A local plumber attended & checked flew etc, all good and he seems to think it may be an electronic heat sensor switch issue (or similar)
