Job has been partially done in Sept 2010 and was put on hold until New Year. The following comment was provided by the Plumber.
“ We have finally fixed the leak in the fire service at this property -all we have been able to do is put a temporary breach in the existing fire service, we recommend that consideration be given to replace the existing 80mm galvanized fire service as the poor state of the existing pipes indicate that there will be further busts as the old pipes continue to deteriorate - this particular burst was in a threaded joint connection into a "tee" piece and the pipe either side of this "tee" was in a very poor condition ( this section has been replaced ). We recommended that the old 3"galvanized fire service will be replaced - with 80mm copper from the sluice valve at the water main to the meter.”
