? Replacing rain water pit from newly built pergola to outside , if needed

There were 2 rain water pit on an open concreted area on our back yard . We newly built pergola over there now. We want to do stencil concreting nw. Before doing that we want to replace the pit to outside the pergola if that is needed. Also Want to check if it is ok if we simply close it with concrete since there is no more rain water coming there from outside becoz of pergola. Is it affect the drain water system , if we close?
