Our bathroom is located upstairs above the kitchen. The ceiling in the kitchen is damp. We have opened a hole on the kitchen ceiling so that we can see the pipe of the bath room. If we clog the shower's water pipe, water drips from the ceiling downstairs. However no water leaks if shower water flows normally.
