Our ensuite shower is leaking into the wall as the architrave closest to the shower is damp and the paint is peeling off and the wall inside the wardrobe (which backs on to the shower) is also damp and dirty. The house has just passed the 7 year mark and the builder was called out for this problem a few years ago and he put a strip of silicone around the base (where the wall tile meets the floor tile) which seemed to fix the problem, but now the architraves are damp again and more damage has occurred and we are concerned there is a greater problem. We would like a plumber to check for leaks (if possible) and ensure that the shower is leak proof.
