Trench, Drainage, Sewer and Storm Water Pipe Work

  Hi,

My house is located on a sloped land with front yard on the lower side of street and back yard is even lower. It was built in 1940’s and extended in 1980’s.

In the garage and under the subfloor of the house, there is about 800mm high soil exposure to the garage. At the middle of soil, there is a layer of sandstone. The soil above the sandstone is dry; the soil below the sandstone is always wet. During or after heavy rain, a lot of water flow out from the lower part of soil into the garage and make the garage flooding.

I guess a lot of subsurface water running inside the soil under the foundation of the house and make the house cold and garage flooded.

To divert the water flow out from the inside of soil in the garage, I would like to:
1. Dig in a L shaped deep trench in front of the soil inside the garage and along the west side of house and install a drainage pipe inside the trench. The trench is about 300mm to 500mm deeper from the ground surface of the garage, deep enough to collect and divert the subsurface water inside the soil away from the garage. The trench is 70% completed.

In addition to the trench and drainage, I would like to:
2. Replace the existing terracotta sewer pipe along the west side of house with PVC in the same trench on west side of the house.
3. Direct the storm water pipe at the end of house into the same trench on west side of house
4. Install the necessary pits or 45 degree Y shape pipe in order to check, maintain and clean the drainage, sewer and storm water pipes from time to time.
5. After installation of pipes, pave a concrete path on west side of house. (quote this work separately)

Could you please provide the quotation for the scope of the work.

Regards,
Jian Du
